Map Donations to Campaigns

You can map JustGiving donations to Salesforce campaigns via mapping codes set up in JustGiving Fundraising Pages, JustGiving Events and JustGiving Donations objects.

In the configuration settings (as shown in the screenshot below) you can configure the specific field in the JustGiving Fundraising Pages and JustGiving Events objects that will be used to map Salesforce Campaigns to donations, i.e. Salesforce Opportunities associated with these objects.

This is often useful when you would like, for example, to report on a category of donations that are collected through various fundraising pages and events, but need to be reported under one Salesforce Campaign.

Please note that the name of the mapping field needs to be the Salesforce API name and not the label.

Step 1: Set the code in the mapping field or if you have set the custom codes up in the JustGiving system, those values will be imported via the API.

Step 2: Set up the same code you set up in the JustGiving Fundraising page or JustGiving Event record in the Salesforce Campaign object.

Step 3: If you would like to add a mapping code to individual direct donations that are not associated with a fundraising page or event in JustGiving, you can also add the mapping code to the specific donations records.

Step 4: Once the mapping code is set up in both the JustGiving Fundraising Page record and the Salesforce Campaign record, then one can trigger the mapping process using the associated action on the ZenDonr: Connect Admin Actions Page.

Step 5: Once the mapping is complete all the campaigns with mapping codes matching those set in the fundraising pages and donations will be associated as related objects in Salesforce. Corresponding Salesforce Opportunities will be accordingly assigned the Primary Campaign Source as shown in the screenshot below.
